I had such a great experience at this dental assistant school. Ms. Nannette is truly one of the best teachers Iโve ever had. She explains everything clearly, is very hands-on, and always made sure we understood before moving on. She made class fun but still professional. I feel so prepared and confident going into the dental field because of her!

Ms. Nannette and Ms. Amy truly deserve every bit of a 5-star rating. From day one, theyโve been supportive, knowledgeable, and genuinely invested in helping students succeed. They donโt just teach the material; they make sure everyone understands it, taking the time to explain concepts clearly and patiently. What stands out most is their passion and dedication. They create a positive, encouraging learning environment where questions are welcomed and mistakes are treated as opportunities to grow. Their teaching style keeps classes engaging and interactive, which makes a huge difference in staying motivated. Beyond academics, they show real care for their studentsโ well-being and future goals. Itโs clear they go above and beyond, and that kind of commitment doesnโt go unnoticed. I feel lucky to have learned from such inspiring educators.

Attended in the spring. The instructors, Nanette and Amy, are wonderful and are helpful every step of the way. But they get spread thin between the activities and the students, even in small cohorts of 6. The structure and curriculum, too, has room for improvement. You are only taught to set up a room fully once, and sanitation on the whole is not emphasized. Working with the instruments and equipment required of a dental assistant are only briefly brushed upon. In the least, not enough to be competent. Actual procedure steps and tray setups are practiced, but not frequently enough to ensure proper memorization. The entire course feels condensed, and quite a few things, such as making crowns or bleach trays, were done once or not at all. This is not to say it is a terrible schoolโ on the contrary, there is still a lot that I have learned, and I am thankful to the school for that. Particularly learning FMX and getting my BLS through the program. It has helped me prepare for getting my RDA but not has not helped in confidence in working as a dental assistant. If you are on a budget, Dallas dental assistant school is a good school, but not a great one.
